Does coaching work? The answer is YES! The coaching process helps clients improve their outlook on work and life, while improving their leadership skills and unlocking their potential. The ICF Global Coaching Client Study shows most clients reported improved work performance, better business management, more efficient time management, increased team effectiveness, and more growth and opportunities. The same study found that coaching clients noted greater self-confidence, enhanced relationships, more effective communications skills, better work-and-life balance and an improvement in wellness. Nearly 70 percent of individuals indicated they had at least made back their initial investment. The median suggests that a client who achieved financial benefit from coaching can typically expect a ROI of more than three times the amount spent.

Cultivating Your Emotional Intelligence

Emotional Intelligence (EQ) is scientifically proven to drive performance. It’s our capacity to understand our own emotions and those of others, using these emotions to enhance our thinking, being able to effectively express ourselves, understand and relate to others, regulate our emotions and manage ourselves and cope with daily demands and motivate ourselves.

Successful emotionally intelligent leadership is even more important in the rapidly changing and uncertain world that we’re living in. Imagine how much more effective you could be as a leader armed with the ability to manage your own emotions whilst also being able to manage the emotional needs of others?

Cynthia is a certified practitioner of a powerful coaching tool (the Emotional Capital Report, ECR) that leaders can use to measure and develop their Emotional Intelligence. The ECR offers a unique assessment of the components of emotional intelligence that are empirically linked to the specific behaviors of successful leaders. The development of the ECR was based primarily on findings from extensive research on the relationship between emotional intelligence and leadership. It provides an efficient, valid assessment of the emotional intelligence factors that support effective leadership behaviors based on a well-researched model of emotional intelligence – emotional capital.

It can be used for 1:1 coaching as well as for groups of leaders and teams.

“Cynthia helped me focus and set personal and career goals that I have never thought about or considered before. She is a pleasure to work with.”

– Craig McRae, General Manager Milk Supply & Field Services,

Executive Coaching is a delicate balancing act that Cynthia does so well by establishing sound boundaries and a safe environment for each of us to work within. This allowed me to be vulnerable with the confidence that the information was respected and utilised for construction progression. I found the time spent working with Cynthia immensely challenging at times but very rewarding.

Cultivating your Leadership –
Group Coaching Program for
Rural Leaders

You don’t have to do leadership on your own!

Leadership is lonely and it’s a tough gig that demands a lot from us. And for rural leaders, it can be even lonelier, tougher and more demanding.

Rural leadership is public. Rural leaders often live in the same community in which they work, so there’s nowhere to hide. They face the challenge on being ‘on’ all the time so they’re at risk of burnout. They can’t have separate work and community personas because everyone knows them. They must be authentic.

Cultivating Your Leadership is a 6-month virtual group coaching program to connect rural leaders from different industries (e.g. agriculture, health, education, small business, government, community etc.) and from various geographic locations to support each other to become even better leaders.

You’ll be part of a trusted group with up to eleven other rural leaders, and facilitator Cynthia Mahoney, that will meet monthly on-line to learn more about leadership together. We’ll discuss and troubleshoot real-world challenges we’re facing, provide ideas to help each other and be accountable  to each other in making positive change to our leadership practice.

This program is due to commence in 2023.

To find out more details, contact Cynthia today.

This program is for you if:

  • You want to understand how better to support, inspire, motivate and get the best from those around you, particularly in challenging times;
  • You want to broaden your network, be part of a great leadership tribe and talk to other leaders about challenges and opportunities you face in a confidential environment;
  • You want to spend time with like-minded people who can lift you up, challenge you to think differently and be your accountability buddies and your cheer squad;
  • You want to grow your confidence and give yourself the support you need to be the best version of yourself as a leader;
  • You want to learn and grow in a group environment and help others and have some fun along the way;

More than that, her wisdom and curiosity led to profound and often illuminating conversations that helped me understand how personal barriers were impacting my professional development and, importantly, how to move beyond them in a constructive way.”
