Sally Murfet

We are delighted to welcome Sally Murfet as our guest for this episode. Sally is a leader in the Australian agri sector and has supported numerous projects and initiatives in Tasmania, and beyond.

Sally Murfet a HR strategist, project manager, facilitator and thought leader specialising in the Australian agri sector.

With more than 20 years’ working on-farm or with agribusiness companies, she has an innate understanding of what makes ag businesses tick, from the paddock to the boardroom.
Sally is dedicated to leading and managing projects that positively impact business performance, profitability and productivity through its human capital.

Sally established her ag consultancy, Inspire AG, after completing a three-year contract with Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association, the state farming organisation, to revitalise skills, training and workforce development across the entire Tasmanian primary industry sector.

Inspire AG supports Australian farmers, agribusinesses, industry bodies, and government organisations to build better, stronger and more profitable businesses through its people.

Sally’s commitment to the ‘Powering Agri People’ through her consultancy won her the 2019 Rural Consultant of the Year at the Australian Farmer of the Year Awards last year.

In addition to some ‘situational volunteering’, she is a volunteer firefighter with the Tasmanian Fire Service. During her 15 years as a volunteer, she’s played an active role in leading and developing others in challenging circumstances, either as a firefighter or Brigade Chief.
Above everything else, she is a Mum!

Sally’s top well-being tips:

  1. Find your why. Take the time to figure this out because it can be a game changer for your whole life.
  2. Human connection. Find your tribe of people who don’t drain your energy. Do what it takes to find them and to maintain that connection with them.
  3. Choose growth over comfort. Once you sit with discomfort and work through it, you will grow and learn so much about yourself.
